Residents of G.N. Kote, a village in Chitradurga taluk, on Saturday took out a procession and staged a dharna outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office here seeking fulfilment of various demands, such as proper supply of drinking water, and fodder to cattle.

The agitators claimed that a majority of the residents were leaving the village owing to lack of drinking water and fodder for their cattle.

The district administration should take serious note of the issue and ensure that all their demands were met, they said.
