Samasthi, a Bangalore-based Kannada theatre group, will bring to life Rabindranath Tagore’s play Chirakumara Sabha in Kannada on December 30 at Rangashankara.

According to a release, the play is a Kannada translation of Tagore’s play, which depicts the lives of a few Bengali characters who are a part of a small social committee, trying to better society.

Ravindra Poojary, trustee of the troupe, said the play is a classical one written over a century ago. Fifteen actors will perform. It is directed by Manjunath L. Badiger. Two shows will be staged at 3.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. on Sunday. The tickets, costing Rs. 70, are available online on Indianstage website or also at Rangashankara.
