Bangalore: “These children do not see themselves as impaired. They lead an ordinary life in extraordinary ways and are the real heroes of today,” said R.K. Padmanabha, renowned Carnatic music exponent.
Addressing the 33rd Founders’ Day celebrations of the National Association for the Blind (NAB), Karnataka Branch, he said: “The visually challenged are the real achievers and organisations such as NAB are doing a great service for the cause of humanity.”
“Kala Chetana” — the NAB cultural centre that will train visually challenged people in music and arts was inaugurated on the occasion.
The staff of National Association for the Blind, who have completed 25 years of service were, felicitated on the occasion.
Later, Mr. Padmanabha rendered a musical concert.
