Additional Divisional Railway Manager of Hubli Premchand has said that real education will help children in inculcating values such as honesty, sincerity and hard work.

Speaking at the annual day celebrations of Railway English Medium High School situated on Gadag Road in Hubli recently, he said value-based education was the need of the hour. He said annual day celebrations was an occasion for school managements to look back on what they had achieved during the year and initiate measures to overcome their shortcomings in the coming days.

Presenting the school's annual progress report, principal Rukmini Vadavi said that from the European School of 1903 to the present day Railway English Medium High School, the institution had completed a long journey of 107 years in imparting value-based education. She recalled the contribution of retired teachers. School magazine Vidya was released by Mr. Premchand on the occasion. Mr Premchand, Divisional Engineer Shobanath, Assistant Personnel Officer Sahadevan and Public Relations Officer A.V.R.K. Sainath distributed prizes and certificates to the winners of various competitions and meritorious students. The celebrations concluded with colourful cultural programmes by students of the school.
