BANGALORE: Adamya Chetana, a voluntary organisation, has planned to usher in the New Year in a unique way by distributing saplings and administering oath to protect the environment.

Addressing presspersons here on Friday, Adamya Chetana president Tejaswini Ananth Kumar said that saplings would be distributed to participants and oath administered to them at midnight in the presence of dignitaries this year.

The event will be held from 8 a.m. on December 31 to 1 a.m. on January 1 at the National College grounds in Basavanagudi. Free entry passes are available at Sapna Book Stall and Adamya Chetana office in Gavipuram.
