Use technological advances to be independent, ZP CEO tells youth

Since opportunities for self employment were increasing due to technological advances, the youth should make use of such facilities to become independent, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer K.M. Narayanswamy has said.

Speaking after inaugurating a workshop on ‘How to start a new enterprise’ organised by the zilla panchayat, district information centre and rural industrial training centre at the zilla panchayat auditorium here on Wednesday, he said due to modern technology and easy accessibility to information, students can gain knowledge in fields of their interest along with getting necessary education.

Facilities

Lead bank manager Shrinivas informed participants about financial facilities available in banks under different schemes.

RUDSET institute director M.N. Basavaraj spoke to the participants about training programmes, leadership workshops and personality development workshops organised by the institute and appealed to the youth to use the facili-ties available in the institute.

ZP CEO K.M. Narayanswamy released a booklet on ‘How to become entrepreneurs’ on the occasion. Zilla Panchayat Planning Director Lakshminarayan, Joint Director of Industries Department Basavaraj, and district information centre officer Manjunath were present.
