There was further improvement in the cold wave conditions in the north interior Karnataka on Sunday with the minimum temperature rising appreciably.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Bijapur recorded a minimum temperature of 10.2 degrees Celsius at 8.30 a.m. on Sunday, which was 6 degrees Celsius below the average minimum temperature recorded during January.

Belgaum, Bidar and Gadag all recorded a minimum temperature of 12 degrees Celsius, Gulbarga 12.8 degrees Celsius, Raichur 13 degrees Celsius, and Dharwad and Koppal both recorded a minimum temperature of 14 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
