The Department of Economics of Karnatak University, Dharwad (KUD) will conduct a two-day national seminar on ‘Current concerns in Indian agriculture’ on its campus here from Friday. Ashok Dalawai, Deputy Director-General, UIDAI, Bangalore, will inaugurate the seminar while Vice-Chancellor H.B. Walikar preside over the function.

A panel discussion will be held from 2 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. on Friday, chaired by Professor L.D. Vaikunthe. The panel will comprise progressive farmers Ishwarappa Hanchinal from Mundargi and D.D. Bharamagoudar from Shirahatti, among others.  

H.S. Vijayakumar, Registrar, UAS-Dharwad, would be the chief guest for the valedictory function at 4 p.m. on Saturday. S.T. Bagalkoti, chairman, Department of Economics, KUD, would preside over the function.
