The Chikenakoppa Chennaveera Sharanara Andhara Ashram at Navanagar in Hubli witnessed a rare marriage on Wednesday as two visually impaired couples tied the knot. Visually impaired Basavaraj Harlapur and Suresh Patil married sisters Geeta and Pushpa respectively.

The ashram supports visually impaired children and provides them training them in music, etc.

While Basavaraj, Geeta and Pushpa teach at the ashram, Suresh is employed in a private firm.

The seer of the ashram, district in-charge Minister Jagadish Shettar and senior advocate G.R. Andanimath blessed the newly wed couples.

The trustees of the ashram had taken special interest in arranging the marriage and many philanthropists came forward to assist them in the endeavour.
