Bangalore: The Rajajinagar police said they have cracked the gruesome stabbing to death of Seema Oswal, a mother of four, on November 21 in Rajajinagar here.

They have arrested Mohammed Asif alias Sameer (23) of Arogyamma Layout near Venkateshpura and his friend Imran Ahmed alias Immu (20), residing near Idgah Mohalla Noor Masjid in Devarajeevanahalli.

The police recovered 350 grams of gold jewellery, Rs. 20,000 in cash, four mobile phones and lethal weapons from the two.

Ms. Oswal (34) was a small-time financier and a pawn broker and Sameer had borrowed money from her. He failed to return it on time and allegedly hatched a robbery plot with accomplice Imran which ended in the murder, said an officer of the Rajajinagar police station. Investigations were complicated by the fact that the victim was using six cellphones. The police checked some 600 calls made by her.
