Another Tulu film, Nirel (Shadow), the first one shot entirely in the U.A.E., is likely to be released soon. The romance flick is in the final stages of editing and will be approximately 2 hours 15 minutes long.
Nirel is likely to hit the theatres in November, said producer Shodhan Prasad. The film’s music has been scored by Abhishek S.N. Director Ranjith Bajpe called it the first youth-based Tulu film. He told presspersons the film was a first for the makers. Their future projects include a Hindi film, also shot, in the Gulf.
Meanwhile, Director Saikrishna Kudla’s Kannada film Chella Pilli , which features many Tuluva actors, completed 100 days in theatres. Kannada editor, actor and director Nagendra Urs told presspersons on Saturday, “It is difficult to run 100 days in Kannada cinema. The film must have a good story and direction to achieve this.” He expressed his desire to contribute to Tulu cinema.
