The second phase of the census 2011 will begin in Uttara Kannada district on February 9 and will continue till February 28.

The revision of the work will begin on March 1 and will be completed by March 5.

The officials appointed for the census work and supervisors will visit houses to collect information about the families living there for the census work. The Uttara Kannada district administration has arranged the training for the staff members who will participate in the census work at different places.

On January 10, all tahsildars and rural charge officers will be given training on how to carry out this task.

On January 11, 12 and 13, the Chief Officers, the Commissioners to town panchayat, the City Municipal Councils, urban charge officers, and master trainers of rural and urban charge will be given training at the office of the Deputy Commissioner in Karwar.

Two days training for enumerators and supervisors will be given at the taluk level in all taluks from January 20 to 25.

On February 2, the third and the final training will be given to enumerators and supervisors, the notification said.
