Training in parasailing begins

Raju Bhavihalli, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, on Saturday inaugurated a four-day parasailing training programme for youth at the district stadium here.

The programme has been organised by the Youth Services and Sports Department, in association with the district administration, the zilla panchayat and Chetan, a non-governmental organisation in Bangalore.

Aim

Mr. Bhavihalli said that the programme was aimed at helping youths develop self-confidence and determination, besides creating interest in adventure sports.

Club members

Mr. Bhavihalli said that more than 150 members from various youth clubs and associations which had been registered with the Youth Services and Sports Department, including the Netaji Yuvaka Sangha of Kenchanagudda and Rangasaki of Hospet, were participating in the parasailing training programme.
