Deccan Theatre employees, who are yet to receive compensation one year after the theatre closed, have decided to hold a token protest in front of the theatre owner’s residence on August 15. The decision was taken at a meeting held under the Karnataka Rajya Chalanachitra Mandiragala Kelasagarara Federation, affiliated to the All India Trade Union Conference, at Mudhol Bhavan here on Saturday. Federation president Prabhakar Bidnal said employees could not receive their provident fund (PF) as the owner had refused to sign the PF forms. — Staff Correspondent
