A tiger was found dead in the Kalahalla range of Nagarahole National Park on Tuesday. Preliminary inspection of the carcass indicated that it was a female and around five years old. Sources said the carcass was highly decomposed.

There were no indications of poachers by way of use of jaw traps, snares or bullet wounds, the sources added. This is the sixth tiger death in Nagarahole since January. — Special Correspondent
