MYSORE: A three-day national-level Automotive Technology Fair (ATF 2010) highlighting the emerging technologies in commercial vehicles will be held in the city from May 28.
Organised by the National Institute of Engineering (NIE) in association with VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd., the fair will see participation by 100 companies and around 80 dealers who will showcase the latest automotive technologies.
The ATF 2010 will be held at the NIE Diamond Jubilee Complex on Manandavadi Road. The fair will act as an interface between the industry and potential investors and showcase Mysore's potential to emerge as an automobile manufacturing hub.
M.S. Shivakumar, principal of NIE and Chief Coordinator, ATF 2010; and G.L. Shekar, vice-principal, NIE, and Organising Secretary of ATF 2010, told presspersons that the fair would provide insight to students of engineering, diploma and other vocational courses about the multidisciplinary technologies in automotive engineering and technology and address the daunting issue of capacity building in these areas.
The fair will be inaugurated by Ashok Rao, president, Automotive Axles Ltd, Mysore.
