1,73,642 voters in Bhatkal constituency

Karwar: Three nodal officers have been appointed in Bhatkal taluk to ensure candidates’ compliance with the model code of conduct in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections, according to Peddappayya, Assistant Commissioner of Bhatkal.

Executive Officer of the Bhatkal Taluk Panchayat Uday Naik, Chief Officer of the TMC Jattan and engineer of the Public Works Department Shanmugapa are the nodal officers. In addition to this, 18 divisional officers have been appointed in the taluk. Eight additional polling booths will be set up in Bhatkal taluk, taking the total to 202. There are 1,73,642 voters in Bhatkal Assembly constituency. Of them, 1,02,170 voters are in Bhatkal taluk.
