Bijapur: The district police have arrested three persons in connection with seven theft cases and recovered gold, silver and household articles worth Rs. 2.16 lakh from them, according to Superintendent of Police Arun Chakravarthy.

Speaking to presspersons on Tuesday evening, he said the accused Ibrahim Nazirahmed Mulla (28), a resident of Kadhibad area, was caught by the police early on Tuesday morning while he was moving in a suspicious manner in Gol Gumbaz Police Station limits. The other two accused, Muzmil Iqbal Torgal (19), a resident of Mehboobnagar, and Yusuf Isaq Mutavalli (20), a resident of Hakim Chowk, were caught by the police at Kirtinagar on Tuesday morning.

During the preliminary interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in seven theft cases.
