IAF's Air Warrior Symphony Orchestra to perform in the city on Saturday
The city will be treated to some fine music by a group of musicians drawn from various Indian Air Force units, as the Air Warrior Symphony Orchestra is set to regale audiences at Cubbon Park here this Saturday.
The orchestra was formed by the Indian Air Force in June 2002 at the Air Force Station, Jalahalli, with hand-picked musicians from various Air Force bands.
The objective was to connect with the masses and create a feeling of patriotism among people through music. The Air Warrior Symphony Orchestra symbolises teamwork, synergy, ethos and dedication of an Air Warrior to his profession, a press release here said.
The Air Warriors have performed in several cities across India and abroad, including Thailand, Finland, France, Malaysia, Italy and recently at Sri Lanka.
They have been participating in the International Military Music Tattoo since 2004, the release added.
The performance will begin at 5 p.m. Entry to the concert is free.
