BANGALORE: Taking serious exception to Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah’s critical remarks against him, former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (S) president H.D. Deve Gowda said the Congress leader should at least bear his age and political seniority in mind before letting loose a verbal assault on him.

Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, the Janata Dal (S) leader referred to Mr. Siddaramaiah’s reported comments that Mr. Gowda as Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly visited the residence of the then Chief Minister D. Devaraj Urs “camouflaging himself in a turban” and said the Congress leader should go through the proceedings of the Assembly and study his conduct in the House.

Mr. Gowda said the JD (S) was for floor coordination with the Congress in the legislature. “But the coordination is being disturbed due to the ego of a few leaders,” he said.
