KOLAR: Students of Government College for Boys and Government College for Women here were forced to buy their examination hall tickets from cyber cafes here on Tuesday.

The second semester examinations of the first year and the sixth semester examinations of the final year degree classes are scheduled to begin from May 13. The principals of the two colleges reportedly sent their students to cyber cafes to get their hall tickets from there on the pretext that the internet in their institutions was not working.

The students thronged internet centres in the town and got their hall tickets by paying Rs. 10 to Rs. 20 each. Later, they got the seal of the institution imposed.

The students, who had paid the prescribed fees to the university, expressed resentment over the alleged negligence of the principals.
