The Hindu Young World Quiz 2011 regional finals rolls out next week

As usual, V.V. Ramanan is quizmaster of the hugely popular event

For very many schoolchildren, the festival season continues as the regional final of a very popular multi-city event, The Hindu Young World Quiz 2011, rolls out at the Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Gayathri Devi Park Extension, Vyalikaval, on November 2.

Billed as the most eagerly looked forward to event for schoolchildren, it attracts talented young minds from across Karnataka and neighbouring States too, with over 300 schools participating.

Entry cards to The Hindu Young World Quiz, an integral part of The Hindu-NIE initiative which is in its 12th edition, have already been sent to the schools.

Any two students from Classes 7 to 9 can form a team. A school can send a maximum of four teams.

Carry the cards

The filled entry cards have to be sent to the Circulation Department of The Hindu , Bangalore immediately. After registering the entries, the cards will be sent back to the schools: participants must have the card with them at the venue.

Photocopies will not be accepted. This year, teams can register at the venue too.

The event is presented by Velammal Educational Trust while Extramarks Education Pvt. Ltd and Indian Overseas Bank are associate sponsors.
