The Hindu Literary Review is, in association with Landmark, organising a reading by Anindita Sengupta from Palash Krishna Mehrotra's book “Eunuch Park”, one of the 11 books shortlisted for The Hindu Best Fiction Award. The programme will be held on Tuesday, at 6.30 p.m. at Landmark, Garuda Swagat Mall, Jayanagar.
“Eunuch Park - Fifteen stories of love and destruction”, by Mehrotra has 15 diverse stories which portray an India that most are afraid to acknowledge.
The reader, Anindita Sengupta, published a collection of poems, “City of Water” earlier this year.
“Eunuch Park” is a work of fiction which was short-listed for the best fiction award along with other books, including “The Pleasure Seekers” of Tishani Doshi, “Venus Crossing” of Kalpana Swaminathan, “Come, Before Evening Falls” of Manjul Bajaj, “Saraswati Park” of Anjali Joseph, “Serious Men” by Manu Joseph, “If I Could Tell You” by Soumya Bhattacharya, “The Things About The Thugs” by Tabish Khair, “The To-Let House” by Daisy Hasan, “Way to Go” by Upamanyu Chatterjee and “Neti, Neti” of Anjum Hasan.
