HUBLI: Tension prevailed in Nargund on Monday following violence by supporters of the former MLA B.R. Yavagal, who were protesting against the denial of ticket to their leader by the Congress. According to police sources, seven State transport corporation buses were burnt by the protestors and roads were blocked at important junctions. At several places, the protestors burnt tyres. While two buses were destroyed in fire, five were damaged partially. Fifteen persons, including Mr. Yavagal, were arrested. — Staff Correspondent
