Freedom fighter H. S. Doreswamy wrote to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday, alleging irregularities in the Urban Development Department during the tenure of Minister D. K. Shivakumar.

In a letter to Mr. Siddaramaiah, Mr. Doreswamy alleged that in 2004, Mr. Shivakumar, the then Minister for Urban Development and Housing, had allowed changes of alignment in the peripheral road under the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) Project.

He also alleged that Mr. Shivakumar had also not taken the cabinet’s approval for his decision. This was in violation of the High Court order of September 1998, said Mr. Doreswamy, who accordingly urged Mr. Siddaramaiah to take action against his cabinet colleague.
