SWR sniffer dog aces competition

South Western Railway (SWR) won the first prize at the two-day All-India Railway Protection Force (RPF) Duty Meet held at the Railway Grounds in Bangalore recently.

According to a release issued here on Wednesday, sniffer dog Arjun, a Labrador retriever trained by N.M. Kodabal, head constable, under the supervision of V. Jaganathan, assistant security commissioner, RPF, SWR, Hubli, won the first prize in “sniffing competition” held during the meet.

Sniffer dogs from all other railway zones participated in the competition. The second and third prizes were bagged by sniffer dogs of Southern Railway and Central Railway respectively.

The top three prize winning dogs will participate in the all-India police meet to be held in Bhopal in February.
