The police have seized two SUVs belonging to Ismail Tamatgar, JD(S) candidate in the Hubli-Dharwad West Assembly constituency, and an SUV of Mohan Limbikai, KJP candidate in the same constituency, for allegedly violating the model code of conduct here on Friday.

According to the code of conduct, candidates are permitted to stick one party flag and use only one loudspeaker on the canvassing vehicle. There were two flags on one of Mr. Tamatgar’s vehicles and three flags on the other while he was campaigning near SDM Engineering College. Taking note of this, the police seized both the vehicles. The SUV belonging to Mr. Limbikai was seized for putting up two loudspeakers on the vehicle.
