KOLAR: Union Minister of State for Railways K.H. Muniyappa on Saturday regretted the trend among students of not showing respect to their teachers. Students should revere the teachers who shape their life, Mr. Muniyappa said at the Teachers’ Day function organised by the district administration, the zilla panchayat and the Education Department here. At the same time, Mr. Muniyappa said, teachers should devote themselves wholeheartedly to their profession. Varthur Prakash, MLA, presided over the function. Government and private schools that achieved 100 per cent results in the SSLC examination were felicitated. Legislators M. Narayanswamy and Nazir Ahmad and zilla panchayat president M.
