BANGALORE: The investiture ceremony at Auden High School, Banashankari, began with the compere saying: “A leader is one who takes you to the place where you ought to be but not necessarily where you want to be.” Surely, a sense of responsibility descended on the Audenites’ souls with this utterance.

Ekalavya recipient and swimmer Hakimuddin S. Habibullah was the chief guest and he urged the members of the school council to work hard and better their best by quoting Gandhiji’s principles.

Principal Shubha Madan brought to light the achievements of the chief guest. She told the new leaders that leadership is not what they aspire to be but what they really are.

School captain Harsha said: “I believe that good aims can be reached by good means. Hence, I take inspiration from this.”

Investiture at VIPS

At the investiture ceremony held in Venkat International Public School, Rajajinagar, the elected and nominated members of the students’ council were entrusted with the mantle of responsibility and badges of honour. T. Balakrishna, chairman of the institution, told the council members to work with dedication and bring glory to the institution with their leadership qualities.

Sapling plantation

In its minuscule endeavour to reciprocate the bounties of nature, the Parachute Regiment School conducted a “Go Green” campaign. Students and teachers planted 22 fruit saplings in the school campus as part of the campaign.

Each class has adopted a sapling to be tended and nurtured by them.
