MYSORE: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) will be organising street plays to educate the public on safe practices while using liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Street plays and skits will be staged at various locations here on Saturday to create awareness among public on ensuring safe practices while using LPG. The inaugural street play will be staged on Bannur Road at 10.30 a.m., a press release said.

Suraksha Sancheta, a mobile awareness campaign of HPCL, arrived here on Friday. The van, fitted with equipment and demonstration tools for creating awareness on safe practices and conservation of LPG, will go around the city for two days. Inspector-General of Police (Southern Range) Jeevan Kumar Gaonkar inaugurated a safety awareness programme on Friday.
