Union Minister for Corporate Affairs and Power Veerappa Moily has said the steps would be taken to meet the power demands of the State. Addressing presspersons here on Saturday, he said the Centre has already given 1,540 MW power to Karnataka. To a question on the CAG report on coal scam, he said the Centre would consider the report seriously and hand it over to the high-level committee. He said the Centre had given Rs. 700 crore to tackle drought in the State. — Correspondent
