Activists of Maratha Sangharsh Committee will resort to demonstrations in front of all Collector offices in Maharashtra on February 14 demanding 25 per cent reservation for Maratha community in government services and education. Suresh Patil of the committee said here on Saturday that the State government had declared the formation of a committee headed by Minister Narayan Rane with a commitment to settle the matter before August 15, 2012. But the government did not issue the necessary notification on the formation of the committee. Therefore, this agitation was inevitable, said Mr. Patil.
