The North Eastern Teachers Forum has demanded that the State government freeze recruitment of teachers for primary and high schools in the State till the framing of rules for implementation of Article 371 (J) to provide special status to Hyderabad Karnataka region was completed.
Members of the forum and candidates who have passed B.Ed. and D.Ed. courses staged a protest outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office and submitted a memorandum.
President of the forum M.B. Ambalagi said recruitments in other departments should also be stopped till the framing of rules for implementation of Article 371 (J) and fixing of reservation were completed, he added.
