Samaj Parivarthan Samudaya (SPS), which is fighting a relentless battle against illegal mining, drew the wrath of Congress legislators in the party’s legislature meeting on Wednesday.

They questioned the locus standi of the SPS in objecting to the inclusion of legislators facing charges in the Cabinet. They suspected the intentions of the SPS in targeting certain leaders, and sought a probe into the issue.

The members felt the need for better understanding between party legislators and the government.
