Grand Ashok Hotel is the venue

BANGALORE: The Community Services of Bangalore (CSB) is holding its annual Deepavali Mela on Friday, from 10.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Grand Ashok Hotel. This year’s mela will have stalls with candles, diyas and other Deepavali decorations, as well as craft items created by CSB members, apart from festive clothes, jewellery, handicrafts, African baskets and other imported items. And what is a mela if it does not cater to the stomach? Apart from delicious food, there will be a tarot card reader, a signature and handwriting expert and much more.

An added attraction this year is the Children’s Corner, where youngsters of all ages can paint, play games and take part in fun activities. This year, CSB completes 10 years of service to the community. All proceeds will be used directly to fund over 19 local charities. Call Ina Tiwari on 99803-33713 for details.
