Bangalore International Airport Ltd. (BIAL), in association with Bangalore Police and Institute for Road Traffic Education (IRTE), has launched a five-day training programme for cab drivers who operate to and from the airport.

Starting from Thursday, IRTE faculty has been conducting three-hour-long interactive sessions for drivers of authorised Meru cabs, EasyCabs, KSTDC cabs and BIAL drivers transporting employees to and from the airport. This training is in addition to the regular training schedules conducted by these companies for their drivers, the BIAL said in a media release on Friday.

The IRTE uses audio-visual aids that create an impact on the driver, enabling quicker recall to put to practical use while on the road.
