Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa and State BJP president K.S. Eshwarappa on Wednesday took strong exception to Congress president Sonia Gandhi's remarks against the Sangh Parivar at the AICC meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday.

At the State BJP Executive Committee meeting here, Mr. Yeddyurappa said Ms. Gandhi must exercise caution while talking about organisations such as the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

In his speech, Mr. Eshwarappa lashed out at Ms. Gandhi, saying her remarks had hurt people who were patriotic. “Ms. Gandhi must take back her remarks, otherwise it will be construed as causing insult to the patriots of this nation,” he said. — Staff Correspondent
