It earned a net profit of Rs. 8.76 lakh in last fiscal

MANGALORE: The employees’ cooperative society of the Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Cooperative Ltd (CAMPCO) will be celebrating its silver jubilee here on Sunday.

Addressing presspersons on Friday, Krishnamurthy, convenor of the silver jubilee celebration committee, said a function would be held at the Town Hall on Sunday evening.

The society registered a profit of Rs. 8.76 lakh during 2007-08.

It secured “A” grade in auditing. Its share capital of the 641-member society stood at Rs. 50.12 lakh at the end of March, 2008.

A souvenir would be released on the occasion, he said. Founder president of CAMPCO Varanashi Subraya Bhat, commissioner for Agriculture Rajneesh Goel, and president of CAMPCO employees’ society S.R. Rangamurthy will attend the celebrations.

An essay competition would be held for the members and their family on that day.

“The cultural programme includes a magic show by V. Manjunath Hiremath and party of Bangalore,” Mr. Krishnamurthy said in the press meet.
