The former External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna and senior Congress leader has been appointed permanent invitee to the Congress Working Committee (CWC), the highest policy making body of the All-India Congress Committee (AICC).

Mr. Krishna, who resigned from the Union Cabinet two months ago, was earlier appointed as chairman of the sub-committee of the think tank in the AICC.

Mr. Krishna, who met presspersons here recently, had hinted at undertaking a State-wide tour and had expressed his desire to work as an ordinary worker of the party and strive hard to bring it back to power in the State in return for the confidence party president Sonia Gandhi had reposed on him by giving him important positions in the party and the government.
