Shettar, Joshi swamped by ticket aspirants

A large number of ticket aspirants and their supporters thronged the residences of Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar and Bharatiya Janata Party State president Pralhad Joshi on Wednesday. Mr. Joshi and Mr. Shettar, who have been camping in Hubli from Tuesday, had several visitors on both days.

On Wednesday, BJP leaders Rajashekhar Magimath and Chandrashekhar Kavatagi visited Mr. Joshi urging him not to give party ticket to Bijapur city MLA Appu Pattanashetty.

Subsequently, Mr. Pattanashetty and Suresh Angadi, MP, met Mr. Shettar and Mr. Joshi.

Ministers Basavaraj Bommai and Balachandra Jarkiholi, and Sarvabhouma Bagali, MLA, too met the Chief Minister.

Sri Rama Sene chief Pramod Muthalik, a ticket aspirant, met Mr. Joshi on Tuesday. Navalgund MLA Shankar Patil Munenakoppa was also among the visitors.
