Returning home

Srirangapatna Deputy Superintendent of Police Lawrence told The Hindu that 16 persons from Nelamane village in Srirangapatna taluk were returning home after visiting Ballenahalli near K.R. Pet when the accident occurred. The impact was such that the autorickshaw was thrown a few metres away from the spot after collision.

Owing to a technical snag in the steering system of the truck, the driver lost control over the vehicle which collided with the goods autorickshaw, Mr. Lawrence said.
