Sharanabasaveshwar Public School is the host

Programme open to those between 10 and 17 years of age

It is being organised by the Karnataka Rajya Vignana Parishat

GULBARGA: The Sharanabasaveshwar Residential Public School here will host the district-level “Science Congress-2008” on November 17.

According to principal of the school N.S. Devarkal, the science congress, to be organised by the Karnataka Rajya Vignana Parishat, would be held this year on the theme “Planet Earth — our home: Explore, Share and Care.”

The sub-themes of the congress would be “Atmosphere — the protective blanket,” Hydrosphere — Water and wetlands,” “Lithosphere — land and soil,” “Biosphere — the world of life forms,” “Neosphere — human influence on environment” and “Energy — the driving.”

Mr. Devarkal said the science congress was open to all youngsters in the age group of 10 to 17 years. Each school could send a minimum of one project, each of which should be prepared by a group of five students consisting of one junior group aged between 10 and 12 years and one senior group aged between 13 to 17 years.
