The Hospet-based Vikas Cooperative Bank will be giving scholarship to six meritorious students, including three from the General category and three from the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, for the sixth consecutive year. Of the total of 41 applicants for scholarship, six were selected to receive Rs. 500, Rs. 400 and Rs. 300 every month for two years. Students selected for scholarship included B. Vinayak (first) and Anusha Kulkarni (second), both from Hospet; K. Umadevi (third) from Danapur under the General category; and S. Meghana, G. Sagar and Goutham Nayak from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. — Staff Correspondent
