The district police intercepted a vehicle at K.R. Nagar in the early hours of Friday and took two persons in to custody for allegedly carrying 15 kg of sandalwood stolen from a nearby village. The accused were identified as Nagaraju and Raju who confessed to have stolen the sandalwood from Yadahalli village in Yelwal hobli. The value of the sandalwood has been pegged at Rs. 90,000 in the market and the police have registered a case. — Special Correspondent
