HASSAN: The Hassan district unit of Karnataka State Dalitha Sangharsha Samiti has criticised the recent Karnataka High Court judgment on the medium of instruction in schools.

According to the samiti, the judgement would increase the gap between the students who have studied in unaided schools and the ones who have studied in Government aided schools. The samiti feared that it would increase inequality in the society. District conveners of the samiti, H.M. Prakash and H.K. Sandesh said that it was the opinion of experts and thinkers to teach children in their mother tongue.“There are also rulings by Supreme Court in this regard,” they said.
