Implementation of the Right To Education Act has been pretty good in Bellary district.

As many as 12,000 applications were received under the RTE for 4,826 available seats in 467 private unaided schools in the district for 2013–14.

“Compared to the previous year, the intake under the RTE had gone up. Last year, around 2,693 seats were filled. Awareness among parents and the public has helped,” he said.
