Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer P. Rajendra Cholan and the team responsible for enforcing the model code of conduct raided the offices of the BJP and the KJP, and seized cash to the tune of Rs. 2.78 lakh on Friday. According to sources, Rs. 2.28 lakh was seized from the BJP office, and Rs. 50,000 found on the person of KJP party worker Gundappa Basavaraj Keralli, who was arrested. A case has been registered against BJP candidate and Chairman of Gulbarga Command Area Development Authority Girish Mattannavar.
