Madikeri: Kodagu Deputy Commissioner K.R. Niranjan on Friday warned the urban local body employees, who were on strike in the district since July 16, with disciplinary action if they did not report back to duty immediately.

In a statement here, Mr. Niranjan said the Government had agreed to certain demands, which were justified. But the municipal employees continued their strike. It had affected water supply, sanitation and related works in the municipal limits in the district.

All the employees should attend to work with immediate effect. Otherwise disciplinary action would be taken against the workers as per law, Mr. Niranjan said.
