Residents of different areas in Azadpur Layout, coming under the Kusnur Gram Panchayat, staged a protest outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Monday demanding basic amenities.

They presented a memorandum to the district administration. In it, they said that none of the localities, including Sri Nagar, Siddeshwar Nagar and Rajaji Nagar, was supplied water regularly. The residents also demanded that streetlights be installed in the localities, and internal and approach roads be laid.
