Bijapur: The residents of Vidyanagar and Rahim Nagar staged dharna in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Friday demanding basic facilities such as roads and drinking water.

The residents took out a procession and shouted slogans against the City Municipal Council and the councillor Abdul Razak Horti.

They submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister through Deputy Commissioner C.M. Shirol and warned they would intensify agitation if the CMC did not take up works.
